Here is my list of tools and recommend resources for school marketers. These are products that I use or have used, love, and highly recommend with confidence for your use. Hopefully, they’ll help you as much as they’ve helped me.

Social Media Management Tools
This is my do it all social media scheduling tool, period. If you’re looking for a tool to schedule and manage your social media with the perfect level of analytics you need to start here. There is even a free plan that is loaded with features.
If you are looking for a more advanced social media tool than Buffer, I encourage you to check out Sprout Social. I am currently using this tool because of their advanced analytics, reports, and smart inbox feature which saves me a ton of time.
This is my favorite Pinterest management tool, and I can’t imagine my Pinterest life without it. My favorite Tailwind feature is the ability to schedule pins for later. I encourage you to check it out and take advantage of their free trial.
Email Marketing Software
ConvertKit is my recommended tool to create lead nurturing campaigns for your school. At its core, the software is an email marketing platform, but it also includes basic landing pages, automation, forms, and lead nurturing at a great price.
Drip is my current email software provider at SchneiderB Media. I switched from ConvertKit to Drip for more sophistication with visual automation and subscriber management.
I use this tool to keep my projects on time with Trello’s list based system. If you use lists in any form, I highly recommend giving this tool a try.
This tool is the center of my digital life! I store everything I want to keep in Evernote, and I’m not sure what I would do without this tool. I can send files to Evernote through email, drag them in, through a Chrome extension, or simply drag them in.
Live Broadcasting Software
This is my current live broadcasting software of choice. It’s full of features at a fantastic one-time price. The only negative is that this software is Mac only.
This is great live broadcasting software that is browser based. It’s full of awesome features for a monthly price.
Conversion Tools for Inbound Marketing
Sumo is really an everything tool! While they have a free option, their paid plans are where the real power is located. We use this tool to add functionality to our school website. That functionality includes social media share buttons, full-screen take-overs, smart bar calls to action, and pop-ups. I encourage you to check it out.
This is my tool of choice for creating landing pages. I’ve tried a number of different services in the past, and this service is the best. The price is reasonable, it’s incredibly easy to create professional looking landing pages in minutes, you can easily A/B test your pages, and they offer a ton of pre-designed templates that you can use.
Powerful pop-up opt-in conversion tool. There are so many variables you can set including A/B tests, display on exit intent (a very cool feature), and much more. This is the tool I use on SchneiderB.com.
If you’re just getting started out with creating a blog, I can’t recommend Flywheel enough. Please, please, please don’t go with a cheap web host to save a few dollars. While Flywheel is a little bit more expensive than those cheap web hosts, the extra price is worth it in terms of stability, security, speed, service, and automatic backups.
SchneiderB.com runs on Pressidium, and I can’t recommend them more highly enough for managed WordPress hosting. This is a step-up from Flywheel in for speed, service, and included features including a staging site.
If you’re just getting started out with podcasting or recording great sound for video, I can’t recommend this microphone enough. It’s at a great price point for the level of quality it offers. Plus, it’s very portable and durable.
This is my current podcasting and live broadcasting microphone of choice. The sound quality is amazing, and while it does cost more than the ATR 2100, I think the difference in price is worth it.
