I hope, if you’ve been reading my blog for a while, that I’ve convinced you of the merits of inbound marketing for your school. I also hope that you’ve accepted the need to engage in social media to help your inbound marketing efforts. As part of your social media efforts you should include a Twitter account for your school and while all of these efforts are free in terms of money, they will take time away from your already busy schedule. It is for this reason that I think it is necessary to schedule tweets for your school’s twitter account.
Why and How To Schedule Tweets
Plain and simple, you should schedule tweets in order to help you save time. I’ve found that if I spend around 15 minutes every other day I’m able to schedule tweets for a few days which helps me save valuable work time. Ways to Schedule Tweets
There are two tools that I use to help me schedule tweets. The first tool that I use is Hootsuite which is my social media control station. I use this to tweet, schedule tweets, search tweets, and monitor Twitter. Hootsuite allows me to schedule tweets at the intervals and times that I choose. The second tool that I’ve recently begun using is called Timely. Timely allows me to schedule tweets by posting them in a queue. Timely then posts my tweets at an interval of their choosing and then analyzes the tweets to determine the best slots to post in the future. I’ve only recently begun using Timely but am initially impressed with it’s ease of use and simple analytics.
