C.C. Colton once said, “Imitation is the sincerest flattery.” It is with that quote in mind that I imitate one of my favorite bloggers, John Jantsch, by launching my own Weekend Update. I have read John’s blog for over a year, am a regular listener to his podcast, and recently finished reading his second book, The Referral Engine: Teaching Your Business to Market Itself. John creates content focused on marketing for small business but many of his ideas and thoughts are applicable for independent schools.
Beginning today, each Saturday I will post links to interesting things I find on the web: cool tools, great blog articles, memorable Tweets – anything that sticks out to me and I think is worth sharing. I encourage you to check them out for yourself.
Letter.ly – is a tool to sell email subscription newsletters.
Linoit.com – is a free (with a premium subscription option) sticky note and canvas service. It’s like having Post-It notes in your web browser. Very cool!
Google SERP (Search Engine Results Page) Checker – very useful and cool tool for all you analytics geeks out there.
Have fun checking these out and let me know what you think.
